Forever In Loving Memory

With profound sadness, we announce that our beloved Judith Schmidt passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 28, 2026, at AdventHealth Hospice in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Judith was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, grew up in Hartford, Connecticut, and most recently made her home in Apopka, Florida.

A woman of many talents, Judith worked in a wide range of trades throughout her life, including seamstress work, custom drapery design, reupholstering, floral design, and certified appliance repair. In her later years, she successfully managed a medical translation business in Central Florida and was a passionate advocate for the Hispanic community.

Judith was a devoted Christian and a longtime congregant of Philemon Ministries in Apopka, Florida. Her service to the church was heartfelt and far-reaching, including roles as a prayer warrior, supporter of local charities, participant in Bible studies, guest speaker, and creator of beautiful wreaths and decorations for special events. She deeply loved God and her church.

Above all, Judith found her greatest joy in giving. Everyone who knew her was touched by her generosity—whether through a homemade meal, a thoughtful gift, a kind word, or unwavering emotional support. Her serene smile, quick wit, and warrior spirit will be dearly missed. Judith’s strength, loyalty, and love for her family and friends will remain her enduring legacy.

Memorial Services for Judith Schmidt will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Philemon Ministries, 58 E Main Street, Suites 1&2, Apopka, FL 32703. Livestream will also be available. More information to follow.

Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos que nuestra querida Judith Schmidt falleció pacíficamente, rodeada de su familia, el 28 de febrero de 2026, en AdventHealth Hospice en Altamonte Springs, Florida. Judith nació en Ponce, Puerto Rico, creció en Hartford, Connecticut, y más recientemente se convirtió en su hogar en Apopka, Florida.

Una mujer de muchos talentos, Judith trabajó en una amplia gama de oficios a lo largo de su vida, incluyendo el trabajo de costurera, diseño de cortinas personalizadas, tapicería, diseño floral y reparación certificada de electrodomésticos. En sus últimos años, dirigió con éxito un negocio de traducción médica en el centro de Florida y fue una apasionada defensora de la comunidad hispana.

Judith fue una cristiana devota y una congregación durante mucho tiempo de los Ministerios Philemon en Apopka, Florida. Su servicio a la iglesia fue sincero y de gran alcance, incluyendo roles como guerrera de oración, partidaria de organizaciones benéficas locales, participante en estudios bíblicos, oradora invitada y creadora de hermosas coronas y decoraciones para eventos especiales. Ella amaba profundamente a Dios y a su iglesia.

Sobre todo, Judith encontró su mayor alegría en dar. Todos los que la conocieron se conmovieron por su generosidad, ya sea a través de una comida casera, un regalo considerado, una palabra amable o un apoyo emocional inquebrantable. Extrañaremos mucho su sonrisa serena, su ingenio rápido y su espíritu guerrero. La fuerza, la lealtad y el amor de Judith por su familia y amigos seguirán siendo su legado duradero.
