Dana Lynn Berry

July 10, 1977 — May 26, 2025

Dana Lynne Berry was born in Morristown, New Jersey, and raised in Whippany. She was the beloved daughter of Donald and Lynda Aymar. Dana graduated from Whippany Park High School (Class of 1995) and later earned a degree from the County College of Morris.

Dana deeply valued her friendships—some formed in her earliest years, others built later in life through work, country line dancing at the Colorado Cafe, or the many other activities she enjoyed. Her friends came from all walks of life, but each held a special place in her heart.

An independent spirit from a young age, Dana began working early and was always ready to make her own way in the world. In 2001, she moved to Florida, where a long-standing friendship blossomed into a romance with Doug Berry. The couple married in 2004 and joyfully welcomed their daughter, Addison, in 2011. Though she built a life in Florida, Dana’s heart was always deeply connected to her family and roots in New Jersey.

Dana held many jobs over the years, but her true passion was working with children. For the past decade, she was a devoted member of the Primrose School of Ocoee community—beginning as a teacher and ultimately serving as Assistant Director. Her dedication, compassion, and care left a lasting impression on the children and families she worked with.

Dana took great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially dining out and spending time with loved ones. Family was her greatest priority. She cherished her role as a wife and mother, and nothing brought her more happiness than watching Addison grow. It was a joy she never wanted to miss.

She shared a uniquely close bond with her sister, Beth. Though they lived far apart, their hearts were inseparable—they spoke or texted nearly every day. The loss of their parents brought them even closer, creating an unbreakable connection.

Becoming an aunt—lovingly known as "Didi"—was one of Dana’s greatest joys. She shared a deep and special relationship with her nephew Dallas, and the love between them was profound.

Dana’s life was not without its challenges, but she lived it on her own terms. She was selfless in her care for others, often putting their needs before her own, and always ensured the people around her felt seen, supported, and loved.

Dana is survived by her husband, Douglas Berry, and their daughter, Addison, of Windermere, Florida; her sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Rob Young of Hawthorne, New Jersey; her nephew, Dallas Young, and niece, Ella Young. She is also survived by her aunt and uncle, Judy and George Genneken of Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania; her aunt, Diane McGough of Cinnaminson, New Jersey; along with many cousins, friends, and coworkers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lynda Aymar.
