Bobby Gene Thigpen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Gene Thigpen, aged 72, who departed this life at home on February 26, 2026. Born on June 13, 1953, in Louisville, Georgia, Bobby led a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments that touched the hearts of those around him. Bobby’s love for riding motorcycles, swimming at the lake, spending time with family/friends and cooking on the grill. In the words of Bobby “you better dance before you miss your chance”.

A devoted father, Bobby is survived by his cherished daughters, Rachel Hall and Kristie Thigpen, his loving wife Christina Roberts of 53 years, stepdaughters Angie Roberts and Rebecca Roberts, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren who will forever carry his spirit within them. His legacy is one of kindness, warmth, and a steadfast sense of humor that brought joy to family gatherings and friendships alike.

Bobby spent his later years in Apopka, Florida, where he created a welcoming home filled with laughter and shared memories. His passion for life was infectious, with his stories and anecdotes becoming the highlights of many family celebrations.

Bobby Gene Thigpen will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him. Let us remember him for the laughter that filled the room and the heartfelt connections he nurtured throughout his life. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so generously shared with the world.
